The neighbors didn’t find each other by chance, as we are, in fact, true neighbors in various constellations. Tal and Timriddim (daddyduo) have been playing gigs for more than a quarter of a century in various formations, from high-class variety shows to run-down dive bars. Our young singer Mara has been around for about as long, and although we only formed in early 2024, our arrangements and interpretations of classic jazz standards are unusually unusual.
On the one hand, this is due to the rock-hard Hammond organ, which Tal Balshai brilliantly plays in all registers, and on the other, to the drums and percussion, which, combined with unusual vocal arrangements, culminates in hilarious scat exchanges with Mara. We also play great original compositions by Tal Balshai, primarily from his latest album, Wohlstandsblues.
